Key Responsibilities- Organize and maintain a clean and organized dishroom, including the dish machine, utensils, and equipment.
- Fill the dish machine with fresh water and detergent, and ensure it is properly sanitized.
- Scrape and rinse all items to be cleaned, and pre-soak serving utensils prior to washing.
- Inspect clean dishes and utensils for stains or food particles, and report any issues to management.
- Clean and sanitize the work surfaces and sink before each use, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
- Empty and clean the dish machine, and wash down walls and stainless steel surfaces.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including putting away deliveries, maintaining stock room and walk-ins, and keeping cleaning supplies away from food areas.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Food Handling certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds or more, and stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, talking, and hearing, as well as using hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, and controls. The employee is frequently required to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and may be required to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
