Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Intake Specialist to join our team at KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and have a strong understanding of the insurance approval/authorization process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with insurance companies and their representatives to obtain authorization for patient referrals.
  • Effectively document all information into our system and notify the team when referrals are ready to be serviced.
  • Participate in the Patient Referral Huddle Process to review pending referrals and ensure a viable and safe referral process.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPPA guidelines regarding patient information.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One year of intake experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the home health care field

Preferred Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong PC skills with a focus on Excel proficiency
