Job Title: Youth Mental Health Tech

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mental Health Tech to join our team at AMFM Healthcare. As a Community Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing superior care for our adolescent clients at our Residential Mental Health facility in Bonsall, CA.

Job Summary

Mission Prep is a residential program tailored for the healthcare of the adolescent population (ages suffering from mental health and/or substance use disorder diagnoses. As a Youth Mental Health Tech, you will work closely with our team of trained case managers, therapists, nurses, and psychiatrists to provide hope and support to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and transport clients safely to all daily activities, ensuring timely arrival and participant safety.
  • Utilize intervention and communication skills in working with clients, their families, and significant others daily and in crisis.
  • Rigorously adhere to all Joint Commission policies and procedures, including Waived Testing, Infection Prevention and Control, as well as Emergency Management and Environment of Care procedures.
  • Proficiently navigate and utilize the BestNotes electronic health record system to document client activities effectively.
  • Collaborate with the program nurse and clinical team regarding medication management, and monitor and report client behavior with medication side effects.
  • Maintain the integrity of the residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness at all times and keeping the area hygienic.
  • Facilitate recovery and clinically indicated activities and groups according to organization policy and document into the electronic health record.
  • Conduct observation rounds, as needed to ensure client safety, and document client behavior and participation in treatment.
  • Responsible for client attendance of daily recovery activities as scheduled.
  • Assist with intakes and discharges of clients according to AMFM Healthcare's policies and procedures.
  • Assist in crisis intervention when needed.
Requirements
  • Educational Qualifications: Minimum- High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or any closely related field.
  • Successful completion of Criminal Background Check through a CDSS/DOJ Bureau of Criminal Information & Analysis LiveScan, and ADP Selective Services Screening.
  • Ability to be covered under the company vehicle insurance (valid US driver license; 4 years of clean licensed driving history; at least 21 years of age).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 20 lbs.
