Direct Support Professional

Network Human Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Staff to join our team. As a Direct Support Staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct resident care, including activities of daily living, socialization, and development of meaningful interpersonal relationships.
- Participate in routine residence maintenance, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Document resident and residence electronic health records, including periodic status assessments, daily task analysis charts, and ongoing inter-staff communication.
- Participate in meal preparation, as needed, and assigned.
- Attend staff in-service and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all community residence policies and procedures, respecting residents' rights and confidentiality.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Medication certification and proficiency in First Aid, CPR, and other resident-specific medical needs.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information.
- Valid Connecticut Driver's License and eligibility for Network, Inc.'s auto insurance.
- Physical ability to assist residents when necessary, including lifting and using approved adaptive equipment.
Work Schedule:
Sunday: 1:30pm-10:00pm
Thursday: 1:30pm-10:00pm
Friday: 1:30pm-10:00pm
Saturday: 1:30pm-10:00pm
Full-Time (34 hours/week)
