About the Role

Virtua Health is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and effective administration of radiation therapy treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist, maintaining department schedules and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Perform CT Simulations as directed by the Radiation Oncologist, including fabrication of positioning and immobilization devices, tattooing, and simple beam modification devices.
  • Conduct Daily Quality Assurance on both the Linear Accelerator and CT Simulator, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records and written medical records, explaining procedures to patients and addressing their concerns.
  • Schedule patients according to department guidelines in Aria, maintaining a neat and orderly treatment room and CT Simulation room.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in radiation therapy preferred.
  • Certificate of completion/degree from an Accredited Radiation Oncology Program.
  • ARRT accreditation in Radiation Therapy.
  • NJ State license in Radiation Therapy.
  • CPR certification.
