Job Description

The Procurement Coordinator will collaborate with the Estimating Department to manage post-award phases on electrical construction projects.

About the Role:

  • Assist the Estimating Department with contract administration and coordination
  • Draft purchase orders and subcontracts for the Estimating Team
  • Liaise with in-house negotiators and vendors to execute contracts and agreements
  • Resolve vendor/subcontractor inquiries regarding scope, deadlines, and project details
  • Maintain consistent communication with vendors and clients to ensure successful relationships
  • Track submittals, equipment delivery deadlines, pending issues, and budget changes
  • Interface with Operations to coordinate design and scope through the buyout process
  • Prepare/track the buyout schedule, monitoring critical and non-critical purchase orders and subcontracts
  • Collaborate with the Chief Estimator on contract review and markups
  • Organize turnover meetings, scheduling, preparing agendas, and related documents
  • Develop and coordinate confidential correspondence and/or reports, publications, documents, and presentations
  • Serve as a liaison for small businesses to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of sensitivity for confidentiality
  • Task-oriented with excellent prioritization and logic skills
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Independent and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
  • Excellent customer service focus with ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Blue Beam

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Location: Houston, TX (or remote)
