Procurement Specialist

Job Description
The Procurement Coordinator will collaborate with the Estimating Department to manage post-award phases on electrical construction projects.
About the Role:
- Assist the Estimating Department with contract administration and coordination
- Draft purchase orders and subcontracts for the Estimating Team
- Liaise with in-house negotiators and vendors to execute contracts and agreements
- Resolve vendor/subcontractor inquiries regarding scope, deadlines, and project details
- Maintain consistent communication with vendors and clients to ensure successful relationships
- Track submittals, equipment delivery deadlines, pending issues, and budget changes
- Interface with Operations to coordinate design and scope through the buyout process
- Prepare/track the buyout schedule, monitoring critical and non-critical purchase orders and subcontracts
- Collaborate with the Chief Estimator on contract review and markups
- Organize turnover meetings, scheduling, preparing agendas, and related documents
- Develop and coordinate confidential correspondence and/or reports, publications, documents, and presentations
- Serve as a liaison for small businesses to ensure compliance with requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrative role
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of sensitivity for confidentiality
- Task-oriented with excellent prioritization and logic skills
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Independent and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent customer service focus with ability to work collaboratively with others
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Blue Beam
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
Location: Houston, TX (or remote)
