Job Summary

NXP Semiconductors N.V. is seeking a highly skilled Wafer Fabrication Process Engineer to join our team in a high volume manufacturing facility. As a key member of our Technology & Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality, scalable, cost-competitive technologies and supply to create a competitive advantage for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and reduce sources of variation in wet chemical etching equipment
  • Implement zero defect processes and reduce defectivity
  • Define tool qualification procedures and improve tool utilization and availability
  • Reduce cycle time and identify and qualify new tools
  • Support development or transfer activities and participate in cross-functional and lean activity teams
  • Train process technicians and wafer FAB associates in process tool operation and dispositioning wafers in process out of control situations
  • Identify and reduce recurrent machine faults
Requirements
  • BS or higher in an engineering discipline (May 2023-Aug 2024 grads preferred)
  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering role
  • Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret equipment and process performance data and produce a timely action plan to resolve recurring failures
  • Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to train others and present complex datasets and process problems/solutions to diverse audiences
  • Competent in troubleshooting problems and capable of applying logic to isolate and solve them
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities and interact professionally and effectively with multiple disciplines in a 24x7 manufacturing facility
  • Good foundational problem solving skills with creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking and self-motivated with ability to take initiative and effectively prioritize work for self
