Job Summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is seeking a qualified Site Supervisor to oversee the Before and After School Care program at various school sites. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs that meet the needs of children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of Site Leads and Site Assistants to deliver programs that meet the needs of children and families.
  • Develop and implement program curriculum and activities that promote learning and development.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and community groups to build relationships and promote the program.
  • Manage program budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of funds.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in recreational education or childcare setting.
  • Experience in early childhood, leadership, or recreation is required.
  • Experience in administration, personnel management, budget development/control, supervision, curriculum and program planning is required.
  • Education and credentials must meet State of Michigan School Age and Childcare Licensing requirements.
  • Ability to participate in, plan, and lead all physical activities.
  • Ability to sit and stand from a seated position on the floor when interacting with children.
  • Capability to be outside for up to 30 minutes a day, year round.
