Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to handle a wide range of estate and probate matters. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in Louisiana succession and probate matters and be admitted to practice in Louisiana.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and prepare pleadings to open, administer, and close estates.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda in support of or in opposition to motions.
  • Manage case calendar and adhere to deadlines.
  • Make all necessary court appearances relative to motions and hearings.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other team members.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving issues promptly.
Qualifications
  • Must be admitted to practice in Louisiana.
  • Must be in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar Association.
  • Experience in Louisiana succession and probate matters: 3 years.
Skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to work with legal technology.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and court systems.
  • Working knowledge of litigation management software systems is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong work ethic, outstanding time management and typing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
