Key Responsibilities- Donation Sorting and Processing: Accurately sort and process donations in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all items are properly categorized and labeled.
- Customer Service: Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all customers, including donors, internal staff, and external partners.
- Trailers and Equipment: Safely and efficiently load trailers, ensuring that all equipment is properly secured and maintained.
- Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring a safe and healthy workspace for associates and customers.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the security of company assets and immediately report any known or suspected security and/or theft problems.
- Communication: Communicate directly and consistently with supervisors, relating problems with the donation area and customers.
- Professional Image: Set a positive public image by adhering to the dress code and personal hygiene standards set forth by Goodwill.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: No previous experience required.
- Certifications: No professional certifications are required for this position.
- Background Check: The associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Lives the Values: Demonstrates a commitment to Goodwill's values and mission.
- Drives for Results: Takes ownership of tasks and responsibilities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Customer Focus: Provides exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all donors and customers.
- Communication: Effectively communicates with supervisors, colleagues, and customers, ensuring clear understanding and resolution of issues.
- Job Skills Knowledge: Possesses the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the duties of the position, including proficiency in sorting and processing donations.
- Lifting and Carrying: The associate is required to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Work Environment: The associate works in a moderate work environment with occasional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
- Availability: The associate must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs dictate.
