Job Summary

CSL is seeking a Medical Screener to join our team. As a Medical Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors by conducting thorough medical screenings and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical screenings on donors to ensure their eligibility to donate
  • Assess donor health history and answer medical questions related to the donation process
  • Refer donors to medical staff when necessary and perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature
  • Perform finger stick to obtain sample for hematocrit and total protein levels
  • May educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma
  • Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available
  • Follow all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
