Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Leader to join our team at Locus Fermentation Solutions. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence in the biosurfactant industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers and positioning our biosurfactants as the preferred choice for industrial applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical, marketing, and operations, to communicate and influence the voice of the Ingredients' business unit and drive commercial success.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales cycle from identifying opportunities to contract negotiation and close.
  • Develop and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline, driving opportunities to close/wins while filling the funnel on the front end continuously.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in the specialty chemical space.
  • Background and experience in technical selling, business development, or strategic marketing in the specialty chemical space.
  • Strong technical acumen to interact directly with engineers and technical teams at prospects and customers to influence adoption of Locus solutions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, large and small, daily in a fluid environment.
