About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled Public Benefits Advocate to join our SSVF Team at the RHC Office. As part of this role, you will provide targeted support for benefits advocacy to individuals currently or at risk of experiencing homelessness.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Participate in street outreach activities to develop relationships and build rapport with clients, connecting them to long-term services designed to help them obtain and maintain permanent housing and improve their overall well-being.
  • Receive and accept benefits assistance referrals, initiating and tracking progress throughout service provision.
  • Provide strengths-based service coordination services to assist clients with obtaining and maintaining mainstream benefits.
  • Offer supportive services focused on enhancing clients' ability to independently problem-solve, utilize effective coping skills, and manage and self-coordinate their own care.

About You:


We're looking for candidates with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Our ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare, case management, homeless services, or working with vulnerable populations, as well as lived experience demonstrating successful recovery with issues related to homelessness, mental health, and/or substance use challenges.
