LHC Group, the preferred post-acute care partner for hospitals and physicians, is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in North Arlington, NJ. As an Occupational Therapist with LHC Group, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Occupational Therapy services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other healthcare team members.
  • Evaluate patient functional status, occupational therapy needs, and consult with physicians to develop therapy plans of care.
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to nurse supervisors and physicians.
  • Instruct and inform healthcare team members, patients, and family/caregivers regarding therapy plans, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
  • Visit patients within the service area of your agency and nearby LHC agencies as needed.
  • Complete progress notes and submit them per LHC policy.
  • Participate in staff conferences and committees as requested by the agency.
Requirements:
  • Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of New Jersey.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
