Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled industrial electrician to perform final installation and termination of cables, wires, and panels for railway cars. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing diagrams, complex electrical systems up to 480V, and a proven track record working in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and troubleshooting electrical components and systems, including panel terminations, conduit bending, and installing fixtures.
  • Regularly inspecting electrical systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.
  • Troubleshooting and fixing electrical issues, replacing faulty components, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conducting tests to ensure electrical systems and equipment meet industry standards.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams to understand the layout of constantly evolving electrical systems.
  • Working with other departments to explain machine specifications and ensure smooth operation of machinery.

Requirements:

  • Journeyman electrician license (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in industrial or commercial electrical industry.
  • Familiarity with national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
