Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Instrument Operator to join our team at Actalent. As an Instrument Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of surveying assignments, learning the methods of work, and assisting the Party Chief as directed to complete surveys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain survey equipment and survey vehicle inventory.
- Operate a total station instrument and data collector.
- Operate a GPS rover.
- Operate a level and read a level rod.
- Complete basic field calculations.
- Clear survey lines using hand tools.
- Assist with maintaining records, preparing reports, and other nonessential functions as required.
Requirements:
- Surveying experience is a plus.
- Ability to work outside in various conditions (swamps, woods, highways/roadways, etc.).
- Ability to travel as needed.

Work Environment:
This is a fully on-site position in NA, South Carolina. The role is located in Cayce, SC or Columbia, SC. Rotating crews for the I-95 and I-26 Project.
Perks:
- Per diem is included for travel ($60 per day for incidentals/food).
- The party chief will book the hotel.
