Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a skilled and semi-skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Schwartz Brothers Restaurants. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain and repair our bakery equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bakery equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in a timely and safe manner.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Order parts and materials as needed to complete tasks.
  • Delegate tasks to crew members based on their skills and expertise.
  • Monitor building and facility operations to identify areas for improvement and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Assist with refrigeration, electrical, and fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Comprehend technical manuals and schematics to perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Respond to daily equipment troubles and troubleshoot and repair as needed.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a food manufacturing facility is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and write English proficiently. Bi-lingual Vietnamese or Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Physical Requirements: Standing 90% of shift, walking 75% of shift, repetitive motion, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
