Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Horizon Realty Advisors is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment community.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will assist in all aspects of property maintenance, including repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital projects. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining the physical appearance and condition of the property, including grounds, buildings, and community features.
  • Perform unit inspections to determine move-in readiness and perform make-ready processes prior to new resident move-in.
  • Fulfill resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor service request turnaround time and responsiveness to ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating & cooling, and other building systems.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with in-house projects and/or capital projects as assigned.
  • Maintain a well-organized and properly stocked maintenance shop while adhering to safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters and comply with all federal, state, and local laws relating to Fair Housing.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year maintenance experience required.
  • Maintenance experience in multi-unit complexes or hotels preferred.
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC preferred.
  • HVAC Certification preferred.
  • Mechanical background preferred.
  • Good organizational and people skills.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
  • Ability to lift and work with heavy equipment.
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of insurance required.
