About this Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Mainframe Tools Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mainframe systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for software products that run on the z/OS operating systems, including complex software configuration, patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting.
  • Use diagnostic tools and/or detailed vendor specifications to analyze complex system software problems.
  • Develop documentation for software requirements and operational procedures.
  • Determine security access requirements for software products.
  • Perform all compliance procedures associated with acquiring, maintaining, and disposing of software assets.
  • Contribute to the analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements.
  • Drive solutions to reduce Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR), enable High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
  • Champion and support other team members by reducing churn and waste, removing blockers, escalating issues and helping to mentor and grow team members.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 4+ years of z/OS experience.
  • 4+ years of TSO (Time Sharing Options) experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with zSeries mainframe operating systems and storage systems.
  • 4+ years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • 4+ years REXX programming.
  • 4+ years Assembler programming.
  • 4+ years SMP/E experience.
  • 4+ years supporting IBM, Broadcom, BMC or other mainframe vendor software products.
  • 3+ years z/OS UNIX System Services.
