Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. As a vital part of our patient care team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.
Responsibilities- Evaluate the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement the Respiratory Care Plan.
- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
- American Heart Association BLS health care provider required. ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire.
- Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling and moving equipment.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions in volatile situations.
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
