Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and deliver respiratory care services to patients, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Notify providers and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
- Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.
- Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
- American Heart Association BLS health care provider required. ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 6 months of hire.
- Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions in volatile situations.
- Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills.
