Position Overview
The Clinical Research Leader in this role takes on the responsibility of:
- Guiding healthcare professionals in the application and adaptation of research outcomes into clinical practice.
- Overseeing nursing and interdisciplinary research initiatives within the organization, as required.
- Designing and implementing cutting-edge educational programs that promote clinical scholarship and foster a culture of inquiry, emphasizing quality enhancement and evidence-based practices, particularly in nursing and patient care research.
- Strategically planning, organizing, and managing the necessary human and material resources to ensure the successful execution of research projects led or co-led by registered nurses in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Mentoring and coaching research teams in effectively communicating study findings.
- Collaborating with and leading various research councils and teams across the organization.
- Developing an independent research agenda that aligns with the strategic vision, serving as a role model and contributing to the knowledge base in the area of expertise.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Business, or a related field. If the master's degree is not in nursing, the bachelor's or doctoral degree must be in Nursing. A BSN to PhD program, with or without a formal master's degree, meets this criterion.
- Ph.D. in Nursing, Education, or a related discipline.
- Upon hiring: Valid Registered Nurse License in the applicable state.
- Within two years of employment: Attain a professional certification in the relevant field.
- Five years of experience in leading or facilitating quality and evidence-based improvement initiatives.
- Five years of experience as a Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator, or directing various research studies.
- Three years of experience in teaching research methodologies to registered nurses.
