Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Agent to join our team at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all purchasing transactions are conducted in accordance with Commonwealth regulations and departmental policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a purchasing cardholder and ensure that all transactions adhere to Commonwealth and departmental regulations.
  • Assist managers in making purchases and provide alternative cost-effective solutions.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with vendors and collaborate with other employees within District 8.
  • Engage with various procurement systems to fulfill assigned responsibilities, including the review of requisitions and shopping carts.
Requirements
  • Three years of experience in purchasing work involving contact with vendors in the procurement of a variety of supplies, materials, equipment, or services.
  • Three years of experience in requisitioning, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventory of goods.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Full-time employment with a competitive salary.
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, subject to approval.
