As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, leading a team of Health Information Specialists, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Health Information Specialists and provide guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with leadership to plan, develop, and implement departmental or regional projects
  • Provide support to the Health Information Operations Manager and other team members as needed
  • Manage workflow and productivity of Health Information Specialists, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Handle escalated situations and drive a positive work environment
  • Assist in the new hire process, meeting with clients, and developing staff at multiple sites
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in Health Information related roles
  • Well-versed with HIPAA standards
  • Ability to support clients and team members working both onsite and remotely
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to present to leadership, clients, and team members via video or in person
  • Detail and quality-oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records
  • Experience with EMR systems, such as EPIC or Cerner, is a plus

Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time to multiple sites based on the needs of the region. Possible overnight stays and last-minute coverage. To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis.
