Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of Health Information Specialists and provide guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery
- Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with leadership to plan, develop, and implement departmental or regional projects
- Provide support to the Health Information Operations Manager and other team members as needed
- Manage workflow and productivity of Health Information Specialists, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks
- Handle escalated situations and drive a positive work environment
- Assist in the new hire process, meeting with clients, and developing staff at multiple sites
- 1-2 years of experience in Health Information related roles
- Well-versed with HIPAA standards
- Ability to support clients and team members working both onsite and remotely
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to present to leadership, clients, and team members via video or in person
- Detail and quality-oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records
- Experience with EMR systems, such as EPIC or Cerner, is a plus
As a Health Information Operations Supervisor at Datavant, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly collaborative and remote-first team that is passionate about creating transformative change in healthcare. Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time to multiple sites based on the needs of the region. Possible overnight stays and last-minute coverage. To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis.
