About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Salas O'Brien. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing mechanical systems for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop HVAC system designs based on scope of work and/or client RFPs
  • Perform Load/Energy calculations using software such as Trace 700 and IES
  • Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
  • Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
  • Write/edit project specifications and prepare detailed design documents
  • Complete code compliance research and coordinate work with other disciplines
  • Provide construction administration services and perform QA/QC of design work
  • Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers and lead project teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • LEED certification/experience
  • Minimum 8 years of design experience
  • Knowledge in the design of HVAC systems and codes, standards, and design guidelines
