Position Overview:

As a Senior Accountant within the Real Estate Finance sector, you will be an integral part of our financial team, collaborating closely with the CFO and senior management. This position is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. Key responsibilities include reconciling accounts, maintaining the general ledger, and executing month-end closing processes. Your expertise will contribute to the financial stability and growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and tax compliance.
  • Review and enforce internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and procedures.
  • Guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of financial statements on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Guide the financial team through the budgeting process.
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, costs, and budget compliance, and report findings to senior management.
  • Provide strategic insights regarding capital financing to support organizational growth.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
  • Develop and uphold accounting policies and systems, ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management capacity within the real estate or mortgage sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate accounting and knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Familiarity with computerized accounting systems.
  • Advanced understanding of accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
  • Experience in the financial sector, with roles such as financial analyst being advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management.
  • Proficient in business software and personal computing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with junior accountants and non-financial personnel.
  • Analytical capabilities for evaluating costs and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment and navigate complexity.
  • Strong follow-through skills to ensure task completion and documentation.
