About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Swain Community Hospital. As a CNA, you will provide direct and non-direct personal care to patients, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and non-direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as toileting and ambulation.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Assist with medical procedures and treatments, as directed by the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Current listing as a Certified Nursing Assistant with the state of North Carolina Division of Facility Services.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification maintained.
  • Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to see colors, see at least 1 mm squares.
  • Ability to hear within normal range.
