Clinical Nurse Coord RN Emergency Dept Supervisor Position

Medical City Dallas offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Supervisor to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions in the unit during designated shifts.
This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with other members of the management team to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with a strong ability to motivate and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, recommending and implementing courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling, managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- 12+ months of supervisory experience in an acute setting
- 24+ months of experience in Emergency Services
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
- Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas or compact
- Bachelor's Degree required
