Job Summary

As Nursing Manager, level 2 RN, you will shape a positive team environment, ensure high-quality nursing practices, teamwork, and patient safety. You will create plans, implement policies, manage resources, oversee finances, and manage quality improvement efforts. Arrange educational programs to meet goals and act as caregiver when needed.

Responsibilities
  1. Formulate and communicate a clear vision for nursing practices within your area of responsibility.
  2. Involves supervisory and other staff in setting and accomplishing departmental goals.
  3. Continually update your knowledge base with the latest evidence-backed clinical and leadership practices.
  4. Foster a healing and supportive environment for patients, families, and fellow staff members.
  5. Recognize development needs and facilitate educational opportunities for staff members.
  6. Set a positive example of professionalism within the nursing field and work atmosphere.
  7. Incorporate the organization's mission and goals into strategies for staff and patient care.
Requirements
  1. Knowing nursing practices, follow healthcare laws, and communicate well.
  2. Quality care, patient focus, and ethical practices are essential.

Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas
SPECIALTY/DEPARTMENT: Emergency Department
SHIFT/SCHEDULE: Full time, M-F, including working with the night and weekend shifts

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's degree.
* A minimum of three years' professional experience is required for this role.
* RN licensed.
* Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days on the job.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year (estimated based on location and experience).
