Electrical Assembly Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in general labor tasks, including lifting assemblies into position, either manually or with hoisting equipment.
  • Assemble and install pilot components as required.
  • Execute tasks related to screwing pipes, installing valves, and running tubing.
  • Cut and install conduit, and perform wiring from general to final stages.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in assembly, particularly with conduit cutting, chassis installation, and wiring in a manufacturing or fabrication setting is preferred.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, air tools, electrical tools, and computer operations.
  • Mathematical skills to perform basic arithmetic operations.

Communication Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret specification sheets and drawings.
  • Proficient in writing compound and complex sentences, utilizing proper punctuation and grammar.
  • Clear and distinct verbal communication skills, capable of using various tenses effectively.
  • Ability to convey instructions, safety rules, and procedures effectively.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and walk on level surfaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stoop as necessary for assembly tasks.
  • Capable of lifting and exerting force up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
