Position: Carpenter

Compensation: Up to $28.00 per hour

The Carpenter plays a crucial role in executing both residential and commercial repair tasks assigned by the Project Managers in our reconstruction department. This position requires timely completion of all repairs in accordance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely work in properties affected by fire, water, storms, and other damages.
  • Assess and document property damage accurately.
  • Interpret construction documents and blueprints effectively.
  • Execute a variety of construction tasks including framing, trim work, cabinetry, and light mechanical installations.
  • Collaborate with fellow carpenters to complete projects while also being self-driven when working independently.
  • Communicate efficiently with property owners, project managers, and team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in carpentry techniques.
  • Familiarity with finish carpentry, framing, structural work, drywall, and trim carpentry.
  • Comfortable using technology such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Mathematical skills for accurate measurement and budgeting of materials.
  • Mechanical aptitude for operating various tools and machinery.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to learn and navigate our primary operating systems.
  • Commitment to safety when using hand and power tools.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to operate a company vehicle safely.
  • Ability to uphold the company’s values and culture.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction or repair industry.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficiency with smartphone and tablet technology.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain stationary in a vehicle for up to 25% of the time.
  • Frequent movement around job sites.
  • Ability to navigate stairs, walkways, roofs, and crawl spaces.
  • Occasional use of ladders to complete tasks.
  • Capability to observe and interpret information on a computer and documents.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
  • Safe operation of a company vehicle.
Travel Requirements
  • Potential travel to multiple job sites within a day.
