Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality radiologic images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of patient care duties to produce high-quality radiologic images, including general radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging.
- Provide radiation protection by placing and adjusting lead shields and collimating in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Assist radiologists, speech pathologists, and surgeons in their respective areas with room preparation, exam completion, and room turnover.
- Maintain knowledge of Radiation Safety, Hospital, and Departmental Policies, and attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintain appropriate CEUs.
- Mentor and assist in the training of Radiologic Technologist students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms.
- Participate in the quality assurance plan for the Diagnostic Imaging program and participate in the research and development of new exam and protocols.
- Enter the appropriate charges into the EMR accurately for all exams and ensure that all exams are of high quality and available for interpretation in a timely fashion.
- Must have graduated from an approved program in Radiologic Sciences.
- Must maintain a current Massachusetts state license as a Radiologic technologist.
- Must maintain a current ARRT registry in Radiologic Sciences.
- New graduates must obtain ARRT certification within 1 year of start of employment.
- Must maintain a current BLS.
