Radiology Technologist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Everett, Massachusetts.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, utilizing ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Transport, transfer, immobilize, and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Calculate and select proper technical factors, operate equipment, and acquire and process images.
- Provide radiation protection, assist physicians with contrast media administration, and perform first aid when necessary.
- Participate in Quality Improvement projects and maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned areas.
- Rotate within the department, divisions, and off-site clinics, promoting harmony and cooperation among personnel.
- Explain exams to patients, considering their physical and emotional needs, and maintain ethical standards.
- Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintain CEUs in accordance with Massachusetts state licensure and ARRT requirements.
- Graduation from an approved formal Program in Radiologic technology.
- Valid Massachusetts license as a Radiologic technologist in the category of Radiography.
- ARRT or equivalent certification and registration.
- Work OT, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Work in a large open area with extreme temperature and humidity variations.
- Minimal exposure to ionizing radiation with proper safety procedures.
- Continuous standing and lifting.
- Exposure to human waste and disease.
- Considerable stress from dealing with hospital staff, patients, and families.
