Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing exceptional patient service and support at Metro Community Health Center. The Patient Access Specialist will be the first point of contact for patients, handling scheduling, registration, and financial collections with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
  • Manage patient scheduling and registration with accuracy and efficiency
  • Collect and verify patient insurance information
  • Process patient payments and balances
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high call volumes
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA required
  • Successful completion of a medical receptionist or related program or 1 year of medical office experience
Physical Requirements:

The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
