Job Summary

UPMC - Pittsburgh Medical Center is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, preparing patients for exams, and ensuring high-quality images are produced.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their safety.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during exams, and take necessary actions to address any concerns.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient exams, including images, reports, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest MRI technology and techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program.
  • ARRT Certificate or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Act 34 clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in MRI technology.
  • Formal training in MRI-related program accredited by the ARRT or ARMRIT program.
