Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative plays a vital role in facilitating the referral process within our organization. This position involves receiving, processing, and tracking referrals from various sources to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate services.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process incoming referrals, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication
  • Schedule appointments for referred clients and coordinate necessary services
  • Serve as a connection between patients and our healthcare providers
  • Monitor and track the status of referrals, providing updates to referents and patients as needed
  • Maintain accurate records to keep track of the patient journey to care
  • Address patient and referent inquiries to provide support throughout the referral process
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance referral strategies and improve service delivery
  • Re-engage with any patients that do not respond to outreach
  • Process treatment prior authorizations
  • Assist with in-person check in/check outs
  • Assist with in-office patient registration
  • Assist with New Patient submissions

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • Experience in a call center environment; previous experience in healthcare is preferred
  • Prior customer service experience, medical or mental health practices preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to schedule appointments depending on the patient needs
  • Must be well organized and attentive to details
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must have strong computer proficiency
  • Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture

Benefits:
