Job Title: Social Worker

Our client, a private child welfare nonprofit, is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join their team.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Community Mental Health Clinics, the Social Worker will provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families using various social work methods, including individual, group, and family therapy.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess the social and emotional needs of patients
  • Develop and implement treatment planning and direct clinical services to clients using modalities most appropriate to clients' needs
  • Coordinate social work services and patient referrals between the program and other agencies providing an array of services
  • Update and maintain case records
  • Remain available for crisis intervention as the need arises
  • Attend all clinical and administrative meetings
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team
Requirements:
  • BA level or Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field required
  • New York State License in Social Work required
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Basic knowledge of DSM-V, mental status, and psychosocial assessments preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and families from a wide range of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Word
Salary Range:

$50,000 - $60,000
