Job Title: LVN Practice Supervisor

A key role in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of patient care in our clinics.

Job Summary:

The LVN Practice Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the clinic(s) in collaboration with the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and/or RN Practice Manager. This role will ensure that patient care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and take action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
  • Support a work environment that promotes retention, productivity, diversity, employee safety, and equality.
  • Report performance improvement results to RN Practice Manager or CAO and address any problems or issues accurately and timely.
  • Plan and conduct regular meetings discussing issues and performance improvement in his/her area(s) of responsibility with recording of meeting minutes and follow-up with RN Practice Manager.
  • Implement policies as directed by CAO and RN Practice Manager.
  • Maintain positive relations with direct and indirect customers.
  • Develop and maintain open lines of communication between team members.
  • Maintain survey-ready clinics, compliant with JCAHO standards and state/federal regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in Joint Commission inspections and other local and state regulatory inspection requirements.
  • Organize efforts around helping patients and clients have the most positive experience, by motivating and leading staff in a Mission-driven manner.
  • Participate in the selection, training, and evaluation of staff.
  • Oversee daily scheduling for timely flow and reduced wait times. Monitor overtime and avoid meal penalties, escalate issues to RN Practice Manager as appropriate.
  • Monitor electronic medical records work list and MyChart messages of all staff for timely response and follow-up.
  • Assist in patient care including rooming of patient, entering health information into EMR, administering injections, assisting with exam or diagnostic procedure setup.
  • Ensure medical record information is scanned to electronic medical record appropriately and timely.
  • Conduct daily assessments of unit equipment to maintain quality controls (i.e. POCT's, Med Refrigerators (where applicable)). Maintain par levels of medications, pharmaceutical supplies, and medical supplies.
  • Ensure National Patient Safety Goals are adhered to and work closely with clinical staff ensure compliance among all staff and physicians.
  • Rounds with staff members to evaluate care and services given to patients and escalate as necessary.
  • Schedule staff to ensure appropriate coverage, per RN Practice Manager direction.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Eisenhower Health Behavioral Standards for all interactions.
  • Ensure language, appearance, and behavior reflect Eisenhower Health Behavioral Standards.

This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare operations, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
