Job Summary

The Clinical Support Specialist provides administrative support to patients, families, and professional staff to ensure efficient customer-oriented service delivery. This role actively supports and incorporates WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model by delivering patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, incorporating the four key concepts of PFCC: Dignity and Respect, Information Sharing, Participation, and Collaboration.
  • Support and facilitate patient and family participation in care and decision-making.
  • Communicate and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in ways that are affirming and useful.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, vision, values, and aspirational goals.

Requirements

  • 1 year of clinical experience in an Emergency Department, preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, required.
  • College courses in Nurse Aide, required.
  • Nurse Aide I certification, required.
