Clinical Laboratory Technician Level 2

NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi is a 457-bed teaching hospital affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The facility has earned numerous Center of Excellence designations, accreditation, and recognition for its renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, Burn Center, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, regional Stroke Center, Snakebite Treatment Center, Breast Health Center, Bariatric Surgery Center, and Cancer Service. The facility also offers the region's only multi-person hyperbaric chamber, allowing up to nine patients to dive together at one time. Jacobi's Ambulatory Care Pavilion is a stunning complement to its inpatient acute care, allowing staff to provide patients with high-quality service in a modern, state-of-the-art environment.

Work Schedule
We offer a variety of work schedules to accommodate different needs and preferences. Some of our available shifts include:
• 7:00 A.M - 3:30 P.M
• 8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.M
• 8:30 A.M - 4:30 P.M
• 9:00 A.M - 5:00 P.M
• 10:00 A.M - 6:00 P.M
Job Responsibilities
As a Clinical Laboratory Technician Level 2, you will be responsible for performing clinical laboratory procedures and examinations under the direct supervision of a clinical laboratory technologist, supervisor, or director. Your duties will include:
• Assigning work to junior laboratory technicians and training them in laboratory procedures
• Setting up standard controls and calibrations for equipment and tests
• Maintaining the upkeep of designated laboratory instruments and inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment
Requirements
1. Valid certification as a clinical laboratory technician issued by the NYSED
Special Note:
1. Successful completion of an appropriate training program for phlebotomy (satisfactory to the laboratory director) must be completed prior to an individual performing such work.
