Commercial Credit Underwriter I- Healthcare

To achieve this, you will work closely with our origination and credit risk management teams to review financial statements, conduct due diligence, assess credit risk, and prepare deal screen presentations.
You will also collaborate with potential borrowing customers to determine their credit needs and develop loan structures that meet both their needs and our bank's requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums that provide in-depth analysis and recommendations for loan approvals.
- Assist in presenting transactions to the credit committee in support of approval.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of our lending policies and procedures and identify any exceptions to credit policy.
- Recommend appropriate risk ratings in accordance with credit policy guidelines.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums that provide rationale and recommendations for proposed loans.
- Assist in quarterly and annual credit reviews as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with proven academic excellence; MBA preferred.
- Formal credit training and a minimum of six years of underwriting and/or portfolio management experience within a U.S. regulated commercial banking lending environment.
- Knowledge of middle market C&I cash flow lending, owner-occupied mortgages, non-profit lending, CDFIs, New Market Tax Credit Finance, and structured lending preferred.
- Highly proficient financial analysis skills, including financial modeling and understanding of financial data.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with Moody's Credit Lens is a plus.
The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
