Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver system software engineering for both new and existing subsystems, focusing on software requirements for Operator Consoles, including development, debugging, and alarm management.
  • Engage in controls engineering to design and support maintenance and infrastructure enhancement projects.
  • Assist in daily system operations, including troubleshooting and field investigations related to operational issues.
  • Conduct engineering analyses and studies to address system failures and develop effective solutions.
  • Perform regular assessments of system conditions, hazard analyses, and reliability evaluations.
  • Collaborate with system managers and field technicians to optimize GIMCS system performance.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams regarding signal interactions between systems, ensuring clarity in responsibilities.
  • Support system startups by developing Integrated System Test plans and verifying operational procedures.
  • Assist system administrators with IT security assessments as needed.
  • Contribute to GIMCS RCM and CBM activities, including setting monitoring points and generating reports.
  • Participate in technical discussions to identify performance issues and propose corrective actions.
  • Document all technical procedures related to assigned tasks.
  • Oversee electrical construction activities in the field to ensure compliance and safety.
Qualifications

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Systems Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 9+ years of applicable experience may be considered without a degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience in engineering facility systems and controls.
  • Proficiency in building automation controls, including HVAC systems and lighting controls.
  • Experience with chiller plant controls and cooling tower operations.
  • Familiarity with building operations, alarm management, and scheduling.
  • Competence in using AutoCAD design software (current version is AutoCAD 2019).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and successfully complete a government background investigation.
Desired Experience:
  • Knowledge of computer programming related to distributed control systems.
  • Experience with Siemens Insight and Desigo programming, as well as related control systems.
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley Control Systems and their integration with Siemens.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Experience across multiple engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, and System Software Controls.
