1. Underwrite and manage a segment of an Underwriter's portfolio, primarily focusing on renewals.
2. Assess, categorize, and price each risk to establish acceptability, coverage, and pricing for quotes.
3. Collaborate with Underwriters to formulate and implement marketing strategies aimed at generating new and renewal business, which may include agency visits, telemarketing, and distribution of promotional materials.
4. Provide mentorship and training to Assistant Underwriters as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in Underwriting support or a related field.
- Proven sales and marketing skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional growth to achieve full underwriting authority.
