Job OverviewPosition: Technology Project Coordinator

Compensation: $65 - $70/hr. on W2

ROLE SUMMARY:
  • Under general oversight, manages the planning, execution, and conclusion of small to medium-scale technology initiatives, taking charge of custom software development, deployment of standard solutions, and upgrades to existing applications.
  • Operates within a matrixed structure, leading a diverse array of technology resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reports project progress to Senior and Executive Technology Leadership, ultimately accountable for the success of the initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To excel in this role, an individual must competently fulfill each responsibility. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
  • Guides all project activities through the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), effectively employing various project methodologies and enforcing standards to ensure quality and timely, budget-compliant delivery of projects.
  • Collaborates with Senior Leadership to assemble project teams, allocate individual responsibilities, develop timelines, and identify necessary resources.
  • Facilitates communication of the business rationale to the project team to aid in decision-making and prioritization; keeps the business rationale at the forefront to drive choices.
  • Acts as a liaison between technology/business stakeholders and Senior Leadership regarding project status, challenges, and risks.
  • Creates and maintains project plans, ensuring effective financial forecasting and tracking.
  • Engages with other technology and business units to reach consensus on product needs, secure resources, and ensure readiness.
  • Reviews and assesses work to guarantee quality, timeliness, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Supervisory Duties:
  • May mentor and guide less-experienced team members and serve as a team leader on systems projects.

Qualifications:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of five years of project management experience is required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree with at least ten years of project management experience, including two years of increased responsibilities.

Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Agile Certification are preferred.

Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Intermediate proficiency in one or more of the following areas is required:
  • Managing multiple projects at various stages of the SDLC simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodology (specifically in Guide Five and Nine, Waterfall).
  • Agile Project Management methodologies.
  • Leading infrastructure-related projects such as network upgrades, hardware procurement, and core technology application deployments.
  • Assisting in defining systems strategy, developing requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing effective business solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Effectively presenting and communicating to all organizational levels, including technical and non-technical audiences, Senior Leadership, VPs, and C-Level Executives.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior-level stakeholders in both Information Technology and business units to partner on product, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
  • Understanding of IT Governance and reporting processes.
  • Capability to create, own, and deliver executive-level presentations or communications.

Work Environment:
  • Key points regarding environmental demands and work environment for this position include:
  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) for most of the workday.
  • Occasional physical effort in handling objects weighing less than 30 pounds.
  • Minimal exposure to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.).
  • Normal work setting is an office environment.
