Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team at Superior Talent Source. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency, delivering exceptional service, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Satisfaction: Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring every guest has a memorable dining experience. Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Operational Excellence: Assist in overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
  • Team Leadership: Support and motivate the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, including cashiers, servers, kitchen staff, and food preparers. Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and provide ongoing training and development.
  • Service Standards: Maintain high service standards by implementing company policies and procedures. Ensure that orders are accurate, food is served promptly, and guests' needs are met efficiently and courteously.
  • Inventory and Stock Control: Collaborate with the management team to monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, and maintain proper stock rotation. Place orders with suppliers to ensure adequate supplies are available.
  • Quality Control: Uphold the quality and consistency of food and beverage offerings. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Sales and Upselling: Support sales initiatives and promotions to maximize revenue. Train staff on suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and increase average check amounts.
  • Cash Handling and Financial Management: Assist in cash handling procedures, including opening and closing registers, reconciling sales, and preparing daily deposits. Contribute to monitoring and controlling expenses to meet financial targets.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in restaurant management
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Knowledge of fast casual dining operations and service standards
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and restaurant management software
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
