Job Description

Abile Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center infrastructure and providing exceptional support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct real-time monitoring of compute, cloud, and network resources across the enterprise.
  • Respond to, triage, and troubleshoot system alerts indicating issues with data center components.
  • Administer virtual machines, hosts, and other IT devices via vCenter, remote desktop protocols, and other virtualized management interfaces.
  • Provide first contact response and initial resolution for all associated technical engineering lanes within the environment.
  • Accurately log, ticket, and own/escalate incidents resulting from infrastructure events.
  • Manage and track execution of authorized changes throughout the Change Management life cycle.
  • Troubleshoot, accurately track, and resolve assigned incidents.
  • Create and track trend reports.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and operational reporting protocol for communicating system and network health with upper management, government customers, mission partners, ASPs, and agency executives.
  • Interact with vendors to coordinate the maintenance and replacement of hardware affecting high and critical priority systems and environments.
  • Maintain extremely accurate, high-level reporting of all issues.
  • Monitor cloud-based systems.
  • Provision thin client software.
  • Contribute to continual improvement of IT Operations.
Requirements:
  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI (with the ability to maintain a CI poly)
  • Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training, or work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration
  • Required Certifications: DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+ CE, SSCP) or higher.
  • Desired Certifications: Relevant technical certifications preferred (A+, Network+, Server Administration, etc.)
  • Familiar with ITIL (certification preferred)
  • Required Skills: Working knowledge and understanding of the ITIL V4 framework, Working experience with ITSM suites, preferably ServiceNow.
  • Desired Skills: Virtual host and Server administration, Experience with Linux-based operating systems, Hands-on administration within a virtualized environment, Enterprise-level monitoring suites/software (i.e. BMC BPPM/TrueSight, HP NNM, Splunk, WhatsUp Gold, Nagios, etc.).
