Mayo Clinic is seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team. As a Dialysis Technician, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care for patients undergoing dialysis. You will work closely with a Registered Nurse to provide basic dialysis care, including starting and stopping treatment, caring for patients during treatment, and maintaining dialysis equipment to ensure patient safety.
Responsibilities- Provide basic dialysis care, including starting and stopping treatment, caring for patients during treatment, and maintaining dialysis equipment.
- Work closely with a Registered Nurse to ensure patient safety and provide high-quality care.
- Perform other tasks as delegated by the RN or supervisor, which may include additional patient care tasks and supply inventory management.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified nursing assistant training course required OR one year of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting or other health care setting OR RN student with one semester of clinical coursework completed OR completion of a Dialysis Technician training program.
- Before employment, successful completion of the Ishihara's color blindness test.
- CHT experience and CHT certification.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
