Position Overview:

Executive Alliance is looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer who will be responsible for the research, development, design, and testing of electrical systems and components. The ideal candidate will engage in a variety of tasks that ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and designs electrical systems, components, and products tailored for aerospace and defense applications, adhering to Military Standards and DO-160.
  • Creates detailed schematics, bills of materials, printed circuit boards, wiring harnesses, and assembly drawings to facilitate the qualification and production processes.
  • Collaborates with various engineering teams and departments to ensure that all system requirements regarding form, fit, function, and safety are met.
  • Leads the engineering team in the creation of test control apparatus and qualification/production test support equipment, establishing methods and conditions for product testing.
  • Oversees activities to ensure that manufacturing processes, construction, installation, and operational testing align with functional specifications and customer expectations.
  • Manages and coordinates repair efforts for production and field returns.
  • Works closely with quality assurance to develop and support production testing protocols.
  • Engages with purchasing and manufacturing teams to address obsolescence challenges and validate new sources.
  • Coordinates and prepares engineering change notices (ECNs) in accordance with configuration management standards.
  • Directs and oversees the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
  • Utilizes computer-aided engineering and design software to execute engineering tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.) from an accredited institution, or an Electrical Engineering Technology degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
