About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Telecom Network Specialist to join our Unified Communications Team at The Hertz Corporation.

This individual will provide exceptional customer service in support of our Network/Telecom, Field Tech, and Operations organizations, ensuring seamless communication across all channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Circuit Connectivity Management: Quoting, ordering, upgrades, new services implementation, disconnects, SLA issues.
  • Monitoring an inbound project request queue and processing Network and Telecom orders in our Hertz TEM platform.
  • Carrier selection based on facilities availability, diversity requirement, and best contracted price.
  • Tracking orders to completion and ensuring appropriate details are captured and entered in our asset management system.
  • Coordination with Carriers and Field IT/management personnel to ensure access/transport circuits are delivered in accordance with expected delivery intervals.
  • Ensuring network diversity where required (Carrier, last-mile, entrance, IP, POP, and route).
  • Circuit turnup for Airports and HLE locations, coordinating with Hertz Managers (Corporate, Zone, GMs), Circuit Providers, Airport Authority, Installation Technicians.
  • Hertz Dependencies and issue resolution for Circuit Orders.
  • Circuit Vendor relationships and required escalation of Site Surveys, Installation, and Performance Issues.
  • Regular circuit status within implementation databases/software tools while communicating with engineering and field management supporting on-time delivery of orders.
  • Supporting service delivery team during acceptance testing and turn-up of services.
  • Contribution to continued development of new and existing procedures supporting ordering, provisioning, and delivery of telecommunications products and services.
  • Data analysis of existing and ordered circuit inventories ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Participation in Network/Telephony design discussions to document requirements for larger projects.
  • End of life connectivity management and coordination of termination of services and deactivation of inventory in the TEM.
  • Support process and escalations for 3rd party provided Enterprise voice SaaS solution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Telecommunications role.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Telecommunications networks.
  • Experience working with local, long distance, and specialized carriers.
  • Strong knowledge of LEC/CLEC connectivity and infrastructure.
  • Excellent Customer Service and IT Service Delivery skills to handle escalations and provide effective service.
  • Working knowledge of Information Technologies and infrastructure components deployed by our organization.
  • Ability to effectively organize tasks, manage multiple priorities/details, meet schedules, and deliver on customer commitments.
  • Ability to upskill on new project tracking/digital workflow tools.
  • Highly organized, able to work independently, and function effectively and collaboratively.
