Medical Scribe/Interpreter PACE-Spanish

Job OverviewThe Medical Scribe/Interpreter will play a crucial role in increasing the efficiency and accuracy of electronic medical records (EMRs) for providers. This role will also facilitate communication between limited English-speaking patients and their healthcare teams.
Responsibilities- Assist providers with documentation of patient medical charts during visits
- Transcribe patient histories, physical examinations, and procedures
- Use EHR tools to collect and analyze data for statistical reports
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare teams
- Train new hires and attend mandatory trainings
- High school diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Healthcare Interpreter Certification preferred
- One year medical scribe experience in outpatient clinics preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking, reading, and writing required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to type 55+ words per minute
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to work in a distraction-free environment
