Job Overview

The Medical Scribe/Interpreter will play a crucial role in increasing the efficiency and accuracy of electronic medical records (EMRs) for providers. This role will also facilitate communication between limited English-speaking patients and their healthcare teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with documentation of patient medical charts during visits
  • Transcribe patient histories, physical examinations, and procedures
  • Use EHR tools to collect and analyze data for statistical reports
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare teams
  • Train new hires and attend mandatory trainings
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Healthcare Interpreter Certification preferred
  • One year medical scribe experience in outpatient clinics preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking, reading, and writing required
Additional Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to type 55+ words per minute
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Ability to work in a distraction-free environment
